Settings up mIRC

SETTING UP MIRC CLIENT
To start using mIRC you can download the client Clicking Here

Once opened it will tell you, you have 30 days free or register, this is in fact false, Once the 30 days is up you can still use it free you will just have to wait about 30 seconds and the Continue button will light up again.

Once you have selected Continue, A box will appear. Type your desired name into the "Nickname" box and optionally a Alternative.
Then press the "Servers" Tab to the left.
Click on "Add". Add a Description (i.e: UltraStunting) and in the "IRC Server" box add in "irc.tl". Leave the port as 6667. No Group or Password required.

Once complete click on the  "Add" Button. Highlight the server you just added (This is usually already highlighted) And click on the "Select" Button. And then "OK" on the Options Menu.

Now click on the Heart icon in the toolbar. This will open up what channels you would like to join from connecting automatically instead of typing them in each time  you connect.

Click the "Add" Button and a "Add Channel" Option will appear. All you have to do here is Add in the channel name with the hashtag and click the box "Join on connect" And click "Ok"

Do this for #us & #us.echo

Once that is all complete Click the "Ok" Button on the mIRC Favorites menu. Then click the Lightning Bolt icon in the toolbar and you will start connecting to our channels.

Registering your name and auto login coming up next...

REGISTERING YOUR ACCOUNT & AUTO LOGIN

Once you have connected to the network & our channels. Inside your status box type the following to register your Nickname.
"/ns register 'password' 'email address'

Make sure your email is active as you will receive a email from irc.tl to confirm your account. You will need to confirm your account within 1 day.

To then make it so you auto login each time you connect do the following.
Click the Hammer icon in the toolbar and select 'Options' and then 'Perform...'
And inside the Perform box type in the following "/ns identify 'Password'" and click Ok.
This is will make it so you dont have to login each time and it will perform the action for you.

There is other ways to auto login and auto join channels, But this is the way iv always done it. others have other ways.
If you have any questions just ask a admin on IRC or make a new topic.

EDIT: We also have mIRC Scripts you could add into your client, click here to view them > http://ultrastunting.net/wiki/mirc-scripts/

youre're in the wrong server. either do /server chat.irc.tl and then /join #us.echo and #us (separetely) or add the server is your settings

Just a notice in order to successfuly connect to the server you added you have to select the server press "Select" otherwise it will connect you to some other server in your list.
